17 November 2014 | 11:59 am | Clare Mingorance

Elizabeth Rose collaborates with R&B/electronic inspired VCS on new track 'Can I Keep U?'

There's no denying that Sydney-based producer and singer/songwriter ELIZABETH ROSE is really creating a name for herself in the Australian electronic music scene. Known for her creation of enjoyable and catchy pop-like songs with a distinct electronic edge, ROSE is definitely one to stand out from a crowd.

From the release of her successful debut EP 'Crystallise' back in 2012, to the release of her fully-fledged self-titled EP earlier this year, it's safe to say that she has sure come a long way in such a short amount of time. Aside from this, a number of collaborations with the likes of Flight Facilities and Frames saw ROSE becoming one of Australia's most loved electro-pop artists, which is why we are super excited about the drop her latest project, a collab with VCS, which sees ROSE feature on the track 'Can I Keep U?'.

For those of you who are unaware, VCS is the production work and vocals of Sydney-based Vinay Seeth, with assistance from band members Jerel DavidChris Hoggard and David Krasovitsky.

This new track sees Seeth remain true to himself, with his usual chilled out, ambient R&B vibes, laced with crisp drums and smooth synths; an incredible blend of R&B and electronica. The track begins with the vocals of Seeth himself, instantly setting the mood for the song, soon followed by the addition ROSE's angelic voice. From this moment on, the two continue to complement each other throughout the entire track.

VCS and ROSE were no strangers prior to this release, after having recently collaborated on a track titled 'Only Me' that was featured on ROSE's 2014 self-titled EP. ROSE, who had the vision of a male vocal feature on her EP, came across the vocals of Seeth while browsing Bandcamp. She soon realised that his soulful vocals and R&B vibe would make for a killer collaboration.
