Live Review: Elizabeth Rose 'The Good Life' (LO'99 Edit)

16 May 2014 | 5:21 pm | Lauren Payne

Elizabeth Rose's track 'The Good Life' has had a makeover from a new producer who has also just recently remixed Terace.

ELIZABETH ROSE is one of those musicians who just seems to tick all of the boxes. Epic electronic melodies, check. Sweet as pie vocals, check. Most amazing live costumes that shine in the lights, check. What more has this girl got to offer?

A while back ELIZABETH ROSE released a track called 'The Good Life' that just blew every electronic music lover away. With her vocals soaring over a melody that carried a steady beat and deep vocal samples that danced along with her brighter samples, it was just a hit waiting to happen.

The track itself is about ROSE leaving her hometown and charging for the "good life" of  an electronic musician that she wanted dearly. Now that she's most definitely there, her tour around New York, appearance at Field Day and her successful headline tour with SAFIA and FISHING prove that, and now after 'The Good Life' woke us all up to ELIZABETH ROSE, the track has been remixed by a producer known as LO'99.

LO'99 has done only a handful of remixes recently including one for recent Sweat It Out! signing TERACE. The producer, who is relatively unknown at this point, has taken a firm grasp of ROSE's most prominent track and tweaked it into a little something that will no doubt have you dancing straight away.

Describing his sound simply as "late night house music", LO'99 injects a large amount of house into 'The Good Life' beginning with an introduction full of soft vocals from ROSE and a heavy beat of snares that builds into a hard hitting club banger. The vocal track still blends well into the new remix even though it is a lot harder than her original piece and 'The Good Life' is now not a sweet electronic ballad. it has transformed into a hard house track that has the potential to become very popular, LO'99 has got something and it's probably about time that people got onto it.

ELIZABETH ROSE has recently announced a European and North American tour so it looks like this girl won't be home for a while. ROSE has got her name out there and soon, if LO'99 keeps producing tracks like this, he will too.
