Live Review: Frames & Elizabeth Rose 'Intentions / Anywhere' EP

26 September 2014 | 11:19 pm | Lauren Payne

Frames & Elizabeth Rose have revealed their collaborative EP Intentions/Anywhere.

ELIZABETH ROSE has been quiet since the release of her track 'Sensibility'. We've loved her for a long time and it's fantastic to see her mix her talents with one of Australia's most legendary producers.

FRAMES of course has been busy as well, creating both music and radio shows, but pairing his production talents with ELIZABETH ROSE's voice is probably going to be one of the best thing's we'll hear all year.

Warm house grooves ooze out of the EP's first single 'Intentions,' and when you hear ROSE's vocals enter the mix, you're instantly hooked. The track seems to be influenced from early nineties house, a genre some of you may or may not remember from childhood, and has a deep groove that flows with ease.

The EP's second single, 'Anywhere', has a bit of handclap disco infused with an amazing array of tropical synths. FRAMES owns the melody as every piece of it seems to be filled with intricate notes and textured tones. ROSE again showcases her beautiful voice and it seems that her lyrics perfectly suit the music accompanying it. The pairing of ELIZABETH ROSE and FRAMES is something that should have occurred a long time ago.

Intentions/Anywhere is out now through October Records.
