Almost two months ago, Sydney-based artist GUERRE informed us of his much anticipated debut LP release. Titled ‘Ex Nihilo‘, it’s a ten-track document of brand new and exciting Guerre material.

Since the announcement of Ex NihiloGuerre has introduced us to two of its tracks – ‘Deatheat‘ and ‘Tuk‘. If these two powerful tunes are anything to go by, the entirety of the debut is going to be quite the aural experience. Completely steered away from any other artist we’ve ever heard before, Guerre continues to boast his talent of blending fragility with stability, lo-fidelity with clarity, and the eerie with the euphoric.

A fan of everything Lavurn Lee crafts (including his work on projects GuerreCassius Select and Black Vanilla amongst others), his first record is unquestionably nothing short of superb. You can listen to it for a limited time prior to release day over at THUMP‘s live stream.

With the release of Ex Nihilo officially dropping this Friday, 4th July via Yes Please RecordsGuerre has amped us up with a run of East Coast tour dates to get this bad boy on the road. You can pre-order Ex Nihilo HERE.
