Live Review: AlunaGeorge 'Lost & Found' (Kastle Remix)

AlunaGeorge's 'Lost & Found' gets a musical makeover with Kastle's remix.

Californian KASTLE has interwoven his musical DNA and production-wizardry into ALUNAGEORGE's 'Lost & Found'. The DJ/producer/electronica heavyweight - who's also the man behind Symbols records - has remixed tunes from DRAKE, ELLIE GOULDING and now the electro-pop duo of ALUNAGEORGE.

As his KASTLE's biography explains, "his professional experience as an engineer puts forth clean, crisp production, but his love for the party provides a playful bass that eats a room". It's these exact traits that comes across in his remix of 'Lost & Found', taken from the duo's 2013 debut album, Body Music.

Synthesised chords and tight rave-esque bridges that scatter off into high-pitched stabs and vocal bends, KASTLE's remix adds a new level of depth to the original's poppier soundscape.

Aluna's vocals, in all its sweet essence is heightened to an even more vulnerable and delicate quality, a fitting contrast to the thick undertones of layered bass. Though the original had it's lighter vibes, KASTLE's touch adds a whole new piece to the puzzle.
