LA Based producer LIONE is slowly paving his way to a throne of utter worship in the world of synths, remixes, and down right love and appreciation. His remix of Purity Rings 2015 hit ‘Bodyache’ proves that even the perfect and be improved.
Lione is relatively unknown, however he seems to genuinely love everyone who appreciates his music, giving off an all round good egg vibe. He also cites his influences as “nostalgia, pretty pictures, cute things on Tumblr, eating my favourite food, feelsy anime and movies and playing video games alone’. You basically want to be his best friend.
‘Bodyache’ starts off with a kind of ethereal, fairy tale synth sound, which Lione really transforms into a track that should feature in a film as the magical kingdom is presented, before the havoc wreaking characters are introduced. There is still an element of something dark, or maybe that type of sound that leaves you feeling whimsical for things that once were wonderful, but now have changed. You know when you cried until your body ached when you discovered Santa wasn’t real?
