Live Review: Amateur Dance Guest Mix for Purple Sneakers on FBi Click

Melbourne dude Joseph Cookson is all about the house music. We dubbed him an artist to watch earlier this year, and there's pretty much no reasoning needed as to why.

AMATEUR DANCE is his music moniker, amateur music is what he does not make. His sounds if anything are smart, well put together and so creamy and classic. He's utilised this point of difference to his advantage and has created an absolutely stunning back catalogue for himself.

After dropping his 'Talking About Yourself' EP (which resulted in the drawing of parallels from artists like Disclosure) late last year, he's continually gone from strength to strength in the house game, with his current sound feeling careful, perfected and very percussion heavy.

It's a rhythmic game yes, but AMATEUR DANCE knows how to play it. He's got some really killer stuff to come, that's why we were so stoked to have him as a guest on our weekly radio show on FBi Click. He delivered a 30 minute mix filled with smooth house jams and little bits of fun surprises thrown in.
