WAFIA may or may not ring a few bells for you right now, but we can all rest assured it will be a name we won't soon be forgetting. After teaming up with Japanese Wallpaper, Vancouver Sleep ClinicCharles Murdoch and more recently Ta-KuWafia is now stepping out on her own, and is making sure everyone knows who she is with her new single.

Alongside the announcement she will be releasing her debut EP via now internationally renowned tastemaker label Future ClassicWafia has now shared her stunning new single, 'Heartburn'. With vocals that make you melt almost immediately, lyrics that cut to the core of you and percussion-focused production courtesy of labelmate Ta-Ku, 'Heartburn' is one of those songs that stops you in your tracks and forces you to pay attention.

The Brisbane based up-and-comer effortlessly melds elements of soul, pop, electronica and more into a blissful - but heartbreaking - track that shows off her abilities in her own spotlight. Waiting for the right time to show what she's made of, it seems now is that time and finally we see and hear her in all her glory.

Taken from her forthcoming debut EP, XXIX, 'Heartburn' has left us desperate for more. Thankfully, we only have to wait until the EP's November 20 release date, so this will have to do for now.
