Live Review: Woodes x Elkkle 'Cocoon'

Melbourne collaborators WOODES x ELKKLE have released their second single, ’Cocoon’, and it is shaping up to take you on an even deeper mystical journey than their first single, ‘Muddy’.

This song could not come to us at a better time. With the weather being anything but inspiring outside the thought of being wrapped in a cocoon and transported on a galactic journey is not only ludicrously appealing, it is also exactly what Woodes x Elkkle are giving listeners.

Woodes delivers vocals that are lustful, like an intimate conversation. Combined with percussion, and an instrumental sound that gives off a feeling of both galactic space travel and something almost like a reggae beat. It is a unique sound coupled with vocals that at times both jar and blend perfectly.

The duo are still paving their way in the music scene, both individually and as collaborators but it is clear they are only going to keep delivering more greatness to the industry.

This song was mixed by electronic music genius Darren Ziesing who has worked with stalwarts such as Hermitude and RÜFÜS. With this type of Mastermind behind the track you can rest assured that not only is it going to be a delight to listen to, there is also going to be much more to come from this duo.
