Live Review: Sohn 'The Chase'
Sohn has released yet another great single from his debut album Tremors.
SOHN has released a brand new track called 'The Chase' and if you're a fan like we are, you will no doubt love this piece. 'The Chase' is a very emotive and atmospheric track that kind of drives itself into your soul as soon as you press play.
Old school R'n'B elements are very apparent from the beginning of the track giving it a suave identity that will make you literally melt.
SOHN is a very enigmatic artist, which you can see when you look through his most recent work. His remix of WILD BEASTS' track 'Mecca' gives off dreamy vibes which smoothly twist themselves together, and his own track 'Bloodflows' mixes smokey textures with house synths making it feel a tad more digital than his other work. The vocals on SOHN's songs also just seem to ease their way into each piece like they belong there. The whole thing feels natural and 'The Chase' is definitely one track that has a natural flow to it.

With his signature atmospherics opening the piece, 'The Chase' begins as a very sweet number where the beat is the driving force. Percussion begins as the spine of the melody and follows through until the end, working together with SOHN's magical vocals to create a track that speaks to us so very clearly.
'The Chase' is featured on SOHN's debut album Tremors which is out now through 4AD. The album features many more adult-contemporary tracks that sound just as liquidated as 'The Chase' making it definitely worth a listen.
