SOHN Announces Debut Album 'Tremors' On 4AD

14 February 2014 | 12:58 pm | Hannah Galvin

SOHN has announced the release of his forthcoming debut LP 'Tremors'.

English producer SOHN has laid out some pretty sweet tunes in the past - think 'Warning', 'Oscillate' and 'The Wheel'. Always a joy to become familiar with his work, we can finally expect a full-length album, as he'll be dropping his debut LP Tremors this April.

Having already publicised a portion of the forthcoming album's contents, we've gained an idea on the weight of the record. Through the moody lyricism and heightened range of production, diversity is definitely apparent as SOHN explores the ambient, cruisy, heavy and rowdy potential of electronic music. Literal audio aside, the entire feel of Tremors is quite the emotional journey, as its impact is said to unleash nostalgia both positively and negatively; examining how these past moments have eventuated us to shape into who we independently are today.

Alongside this, the man himself has prescribed the album with a nocturnal character,

"I wanted Tremors to feel like fresh air. There's something about the way I was working overnight on the album which found its way into the sound. Every night I worked finished with a cold sunrise and a walk home... and to me that's what Tremors sounds like."

To run with the announcement, SOHN has unveiled Tremors' leading single 'Artifice' that premiered on Zane Lowe's highly reputable BBC Radio 1 show. Journeying from right to left, check out the amazingly shot clip to the track directed by Thom Glunt.

SOHN's Tremors is set for worldwide release on 7th April via 4AD. Preorder the record from iTunes HERE and you'll receive an instant digital download of 'Artifice'.
