Live Review: FKA Twigs 'Ultraviolet' (Insightful Fondle)
Insightful fondles with FKA Twigs' track 'Ultraviolet' in a totally non creepy way.
American producer INSIGHTFUL has fondled with FKA TWIGS' track 'Ultraviolet' in a totally non creepy and socially acceptable way. The original from her 2013 album 'EP 2' is a mixture of spacey trip-hop sounds with FKA TWIGS' signature dreamy vocals ever so delicately placed over the top.
INSIGHTFUL has managed to keep the overall ghostly, fragile tone of the track, but has introduced a whole multitude of sound layering that gives the track much more tangibility and strength.
The vocals have been de-constructed, and re-constructed and although they are given less weight in INSIGHTFUL's re-work, the vocals still bring the smokey, atmospheric feel of FKA TWIGS to the forefront. INSIGHTFUL has breathed new life into 'Ultraviolet' and has managed to create something that will be very, very hard to get sick of.
