14 May 2014 | 7:31 pm | Alean Penaflor

Captivating listeners globally with his debut album, Tremors, English expat SOHN announces his first ever Australian shows.

British expat SOHN has astounded listeners worldwide with his stunning fusion of varying sonic influences, as showcased in his highly-acclaimed debut album, Tremors.

The London-born and now Vienna-based producer/singer/mult-instrumentalist has announced his first ever Australian shows, courtesy of I OH YOU and Laneway Presents. The two dates will see SOHN grace fans at Sydney's Oxford Factory and Melbourne's Ding Dong Lounge from June 24 and 25.

Real name Christopher Taylor, the music all-rounder has produced the likes of BANKS, given us quality remixes such as DISCLOSURE's 'Help Me Lose My Mind' and not to forget his captivating originals.

Though it's easy to draw comparisons to fellow ambient-come-soulful electronica producer JAMES BLAKE, there's a distinct, organic precision to Taylor's work that makes his production appear almost austere in comparison. There's a reassured use of poetic vocal phrases, sparse electronica elements and deep beats that melt into the pictureque soundscapes that Taylor portays in his songwriting and production abilities.
