Live Review: PREMIERE: I Know The Chief 'Stay Coloured' (LONDON Remix)

Early in the year we featured enigmatic Melbourne producer LONDON as one to watch in 2014. Since then, the 22-year-old has successfully maintained his elusiveness whilst steadily turning intrigue in to fervent attention, with second single ‘Window Washer’ drawing alikeness to FLUME and frequent airplay on Triple J.

Showing that he’s more than capable of producing a quality original or two, LONDON now throws another trick to the mix, with his reworking of fellow Melbourne boys, I KNOW THE CHIEF’s ‘Stay Coloured’.

The bright, jangly pop-rock qualities found in the original are completely flipped and stripped back to this brooding, understated piece of electro vision. A slow burner laced with building vocal loops, basic synths and percussive elements, LONDON leaves his mark and definitely makes it known as his own.
