Halfway Crooks Turns 5 'Players Cruise' + Birthday Mixtape

In March 2009, three dudes came together, thought up something great and made it a prosperous, enjoyable party for both themselves and the community of rhymes, beats & party enthusiasts.

Made up of DJs Levins, Captain Franco and Elston, they're the head honchos behind Sydney's greatest monthly rap party - HALFWAY CROOKS. If you're yet to get amongst the collective, they essentially host a niche party at the Exchange Hotel's Phoenix Bar on the first Saturday of each month. Always pulling a loyal and impressive crowd, the guys play rap music hailing from the East, West and South.

Living to see the collective's fifth year, Halfway Crooks are taking the festivities outside of the club and into the blue, as they're throwing a special cruise party this Saturday afternoon! For just thirty bucks, drift through not only the Harbour, but the past five years of party jams with the three champs who started it all. The party won't be stopping after the four hour cruise though, as the boys will be sticking to tradition by heading back to Phoenix for an extra special Halfway Crooks celebration.

In the lead up to the event, the three Halfway Crooks main guys will each release a special mixtape that resonate with the party's successful timeline. To kick things off, Levins (with a little help from his buddy Joyride) has collated a series of Southern rap anthems into an hour long mix.
