Jesse Porsches is giving you a sultry banger in ‘The Weekend’

Sometimes the most fleeting of moments can be the most memorable. That vividness of an experience that’s gone in the blink of an eye can burn brightly in our minds for eons. Just because a connection isn’t permanent or even long-lasting doesn’t mean it isn’t beautiful, and that’s exactly what JESSE PORSCHES is demonstrating on his debut solo single, ‘The Weekend’.

Jesse Porsches is by no means a stranger to Australian electronic music. His work as part of the duo PORSCHES saw that infectious banger ‘Horses’ gracefully float around in our heads and our headphones. Furthermore, his work in SUPER CRUEL, alongside production wizard Tigerilla, is having the same effect this year. Jesse Porsches has a remarkable ability to pair the most ethereal, feather-light voices with powerful, thumping production and ‘The Weekend’ shows that brighter than ever before.

Opting for the silky smooth vocals of XAVIER DUNN, ‘The Weekend’ circles around an acceptance, and ultimately a celebration, of a short-lasting love. The melody is an oxymoron of subtle and explosive, as Dunn‘s vocals slink in between the tropical-inspired synths and percussive intensity that anchor the track. The track screams of both sunshine and moonlight, of both fun and forlorn, and Jesse Porsches has proven once again that even the most disparate elements can intertwine beautifully, even if it is just for the weekend.
