Leeds based five-piece band VESSELS have struck again with a late night, early morning vibing track ‘4AM’. The track might ask you for your attention for six and a half minutes (which is a lot to ask these days) but it's worthy of giving it your best.

‘4AM’ comes as a teaser in the lead up to release of a special edition of the band's mesmerising 2015 album, Dilate. Vessels came to life as a rock band, and are now trying their hand, with intimidating success, at electronic styles of music. ‘4AM’ features no lyrics in that captivating style we all grew to love in in 2015, thanks to the likes of Ratatat.

There is some deep melancholy to ‘4AM’. It kind of makes you think of someone on a battle field, or simply the battle field of life, being basically dead, then suddenly having all the strength of Thor and getting up, and running, towards the light/their love/the person to kill. It’s the shit that only happens in movies, and yet maybe next time you’re lost at 4am you might just find the strength to find yourself again if Vessels are providing the soundtrack.

The special edition of Dilate will be available on April 1st via Different Recordings. Completed with remixes and bonus tracks this one is no April Fools joke.
