BIGSOUND announce four new keynote speakers

Following on from their recent first artist announcementBIGSOUND have today shared four keynote speakers who will be giving talks at this year’s conference happening from September 3-6 up in Brisbane.

Best Coast‘s Bethany Cosentino, music writer and figure Vivien GoldmanFrontier Touring‘s Sahara Herald and acclaimed artist Mojo Juju will all be delivering keynotes.

For a bit of context, Bethany Cosentino has long been an important and outspoken voice. She’s been responsible for some of the best indie anthems of the last decade, kicking off with her debut Crazy For You in 2010. She’s also lent her voice to speaking out again sexism and sexual assault, and over the years, has shared her journey to sobriety and her struggles with insomnia.

Vivien Goldman has written for publications such as NME, Sounds and Melody Maker, hosted on pirate radio, was Bob Marley‘s first publicist, was an artist herself as part of 80’s synth-wave band Chantage and is a published author too.

Sahara Herald has a huge history with Australian music, spending 18 years as the National Event co-ordinator for Big Day Out before moving over to Frontier Touring in 2018 where she became the company’s Tour Director.

Last year, Mojo Juju shared her acclaimed third record, Native Tongue. The record sees her contemplate her heritage, using her family history and personal experiences as a vehicle for this exploration. She’s one of the most important voices in Australian music.

BIGSOUND have also today announced their official party program, with Purple Pass holders able to access no less than 16 different parties.
