BIGSOUND share first round of live acts showcasing at this year’s conference
It was only last month that BIGSOUND announced their first round of international speakers and buyers who would be heading to Brisbane this September 3-6. The first announce featured a keynote due to come in from Nettwerk Music‘s Terry McBride, talent scouts with reps from Sub Pop, Captured Tracks, Mom + Pop Records heading along and heaps more.
They’ve today announced the first 76/150 artists set to be showcasing as part of the BIGSOUND Festival component of the conference. They’ll be taking to 18 different stages across Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley Live Music Precinct.
For the first time ever, BIGSOUND will be opening an Artist Village, available to all showcasing artists. This space will allow those attending the freedom to relax and network outside of conference and showcase hours. The Artist Village includes the option of free accommodation with perks like complimentary breakfast and more, but you’d better be quick.
This space will be open to all BIGSOUND artists daily from 10-4PM. The space will have free wi-fi, artist workshops, rehearsal rooms and more.
BIGSOUND have previously announced that this year’s conference will be taking place at a new venue, Cloudland, a space that will give the conference more flexibility.
Tickets for this year’s BIGSOUND Festival will go on sale next Thursday, June 27 from 9am via Oztix.
