Body Type, Gauci and World Champion share their starter packs ahead of Volumes 2017
The third instalment of VOLUMES is just about here. This is a really special event on the Sydney music calendar for many reasons. First and foremost they do a bang up job at curating a really exciting mix of emerging talent alongside bigger names. This year is no exception with Baro, Jonti, Gold Class and Retiree just a few names in the 50+ lineup. VOLUMES sits half-way in between festival and club night with 4-stages set in three bars along Oxford Street.
Now the major key to a good day (and night) is good preparation and we are not talking about pre-workout. Some local legends have let us in on their essentials when it comes to game day:
Body Type. Oxford Art Factory, Main stage 5:30pm.
GAUCI. Oxford Art Factory, Gallery Bar 8:15pm.
World Champion. Oxford Art Factory, Main stage 10:30pm.
The Purple Sneakers team have a starter kit of their own. Sadly ours is too basic to warrant a meme but no less essential. Your ticket and ID are the major players here. The final release tickets are available HERE. If your cousin Susan selfishly planned her wedding for the same day, don’t stress Volumes have a late night pass available as well.
Speaking of weddings VOLUMES is partnering with the Sydney Equality Weekender this year. There will be will be services available to help you enrol to vote and/or update your address. Alternatively you can do it yourself RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW. Either way make sure you give the volunteers a high-five because democracy is cool!
Finally the set times. Door open at 3:00pm and there are stacks of absolute gems happening all day long. Highlighters out please. Indie darlings Sunscreen are kicking things off at OAF Main stage at 3:30pm. head over to Cliff Dive at 4:30 and catch producer, vocalist and all around creative goddess Clypso and her infectious brand of positively uplifting beats. Get in early, stay hydrated and we’ll see you on dance floor.
Oxford Art Factory, The Cliff Dive, Brighton Up Bar.
