Live Review: WRLD teams up with Savoi to deliver dreamy pop single 'Hideaway'

Vancouver's latest young export, WRLD aka David Lawson returns with synth driven pop single,'Hideaway' featuring the distinctly dreamy vocal stylings of Brisbane vocalist SAVOI. Having recently wrapped up his first Australasian tour, Wrld is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down.

2016 was an incredibly formative year for this rising electronic star. Having completed his high school, Wrld was also learning more about the industry and taking some calculated risks. His EP, Awake, released last year saw Wrld moving into more experimental territory with his production style.

Wrld consistently delivers, and his latest tune is a polished pop classic. Unlike his previous works, 'Hideaway' has a real nostalgic feel about it, driven by rich synth layering, it's a total nod to 80s electronic evolution. Savoi's vocals ooze over the tune like honey, injecting serious warmth and combining perfectly with Wrld sophistication and finesse. Whilst the tune seems simple on first listen, there's a gossamer of electronic elements working together to create a real atmospheric, upbeat jam.

We're excited to see what's to come for Wrld, a protege producer with his ear to the ground, and a distinct flavour that's really elevated him on the global stage.
