Live Review: WRLD distorts the 'Light' in San Holo's latest single

WRLD embeds the vocals of San Holo's 'Light' into his stellar new remix.

You may have heard how much we loved SAN HOLO's latest track 'Light'. An atmospheric masterpiece, the song bounced from deep airy synths into energetic beats, giving it a unique feel that no other artist could replicate. WRLD has remixed the track and brought it life in a brand new way and honestly, we're loving it.

Keeping the song on the lighter side, WRLD's remix begins with an airy melody dancing around some vibrant synths and a light beat. This is probably what a rainbow sounds like if you listen carefully, because each note seems to feels like the most colourful thing on earth. The vocals are high pitched and light as anything, feeling almost like pieces of glitter falling on your face, so light that you can barely feel them but you still know they're there.

The vocals slowly become more prominent after the remix jumps into a more jagged section of edgy synths and rough samples. Like the original, this remix has texture and feels just so relevant. It focuses more on the melody than the vocals which is quite nice considering the original did have them fluttering by quite frequently, but it's how they're actually embedded into the melody that makes the remix so unique.

WRLD has done a fine job remixing 'Light' and it feels like there's now more light actually shining on it because it feels so much brighter than the original.

Should probs get some sunglasses when you're listening to this one.
