Live Review: St. South releases chilling new single ‘Got Me’

The new single from St. South ‘Got Me’ like…

For those of you unfamiliar with the talented and all round top chick that is St. South, then strap yourselves in and get ready for an emotional rollercoaster. Listeners are loving the spread of peaceful vibes that the WA songstress is sprinkling throughout the country; and after just one listen, you won’t question why.

‘Got Me’ is a single release from her forthcoming EP Nervous Energy due to be released in October. It’s a beautiful emotion-filled bubble of goodness. If Lisa Mitchell and Bon Iver had a lovechild then St. South would be the adored little toddler with rosy cheeks and pigtails.

It’s a whimsical, tear-jerking track that will leave you with an abundant mixture of feelings with its slow-paced, flowy samples. Her vocals accentuate the beauty of the instruments all before a smooth slow paced saxophone ends the song on a jazzy level. The weaving sax really elevates the song to a soulful electronica and leaves you feeling fresh and rejuvenated. Bring on the EP!
