Live Review: St. South 'Get Good' (Infinitefreefall Remix)

5 January 2015 | 11:59 pm | Clare Mingorance

South Carolina's Infinitefreefall has done a killer job on St. South's track 'Get Good'.

Fremantle-based Olivia Gavranich is the talent behind electronic/soul project ST. SOUTH, and it's crazy to think that it's already been almost a year since we were blessed with her track 'Get Good'.

Well, if you were a fan of that track, then you are in for a real treat with this latest remix done by INFINITEFREEFALL. As much as I was a lover of the original track, this remix without a doubt gives it a run for its money.

Just in case you are unaware, INFINITEFREEFALL is the project of Maxton Stenstrom, a producer from South Carolina, and a founder of LA's Collected Recordings.

In this remix, Stenstrom has kept many elelments of the original track, which was produced by Koenski. This version however, is much softer and the addition of his own beats gives it a real chilled-out vibe. Stenstrom's smooth production blends perfectly with the dreaminess of Gavranich's vocals. A saxophone has also been added throughout, and really is the icing on the cake.

It's not the first time INFINITEFREEFALL and ST. SOUTH have come together, with Stenstrom having remixed her track 'Slacks', and was also in charge of production on her more recent release 'Hold'.

It goes without saying that the two together create something truly magic, and we can only hope that these extremely talented people collaborate again in the near future.
