Live Review: LANKS lets Champagne Internet take the lead on this new cut of 'Aurelia'

LANKS' tune 'Aurelia' was one of the better releases put out by Australian talent last year, so it's only fitting it gets the remix it deserves - nay, the remix it needs. Well, thanks to CHAMPAGNE INTERNET, the time has finally come and we're so glad it did.

Originally part of Yacht Club DJs, Champagne Internet is wasting absolutely no time showing everyone that he is more than capable of bringing the heat on his own with this remix. Sounding like an intergalactic journey through some incredibly beautiful part of space, Champagne Internet takes Lanks to a place he's never been before, and the results are brilliant.

Sounding like a combination of Midnight Juggernauts and almost like Sigur Ros thanks to Lanks' heavenly voice, Champagne Internet relies on arpeggiating synths and sparse beats; warm basslines and just enough groove to keep things moving. Whilst Lanks preferred to take a step back with this track and let the music do the talking, Champagne Internet assumes a full leadership role and takes complete control - in the best way possible.

There is no official word on any official releases from Champagne Internet, but he did mention via his Facebook page that he "thinks" he has another remix coming on Thursday. To keep up to date, head here and join us in hoping there is a lot more where this came from.
