Live Review: LANKS 'Aurelia'

25 June 2015 | 2:35 pm | Emma Jones

LANKS returns once more before his 'Banquet' EP drops, more beautiful and delicate than ever with 'Aurelia'.

One of our Artists To Watch in 2015, LANKS has not wasted any time reassuring us he is more than worthy of such a title over the past few months. Now, he's taking things up a notch with an new EP just about to drop, as well as a national tour. However, getting one last song out before he hits the road, LANKS has dropped perhaps his most beautiful yet, in the form of 'Aurelia'.

Singing in his beautiful falsetto, LANKS' crisp drum beats pierce the wall of sound from the droning synth chords. From here, he shows off his delicate production skills as more is gradually added to the mix, swirling gently as the layers swell. His vocal harmonies drift over the track, keeping the textures rich and enticing as it spins and twirls.

The hypnotic tracks is one of the more delicate and lush tracks LANKS has delivered in his time, which is saying something considering he has built his name on creating such tracks. Clearly rising to the challenge of delivering something even more stunning than what he's already done, it seems he wasn't holding back at all with 'Aurelia'.
