Live Review: LA Priest 'Lady's In Trouble With The Law' (Official Video)

11 September 2015 | 3:12 pm | Emma Jones

He's released one of the best albums of this year and now he's back again with a new clip for his track 'Lady's In Trouble With The Law'. This is LA Priest.

It's no secret we love ourselves some LA PRIEST, and we can admit we may be a little biased when it comes to his music. If you don't feel the same just yet, his latest single and now accompanying video for 'Lady's In Trouble With The Law' is probably going to change that for you.

It's been a few months since the release of his album Inji, but LA Priest is still coming through with the goods. Set a sunset boat ride, the 'Lady's In Trouble With The Law' film clip is a hyper-real pop cut to suit it's hyper-real pop track. Shiny, glamorous, 80's-esque and a little over the top, it doesn't get much better than this!

This simplistic video is in stark contrast with it's otherworldly predecessors, but if there is one thing we have learned from LA Priest, it's to expect the unexpected. Making use of mother nature's colour palette at the time between night and day, the Isaac Eastgate directed clip goes into autopilot and let's the world do the talking. Considering Inji "is a record that has its own logic and exists in its own time zone," this take for 'Lady's In Trouble With The Law' comes as no surprise.

Inji was released in June via Domino/EMI, and LA Priest has just announced a string of UK shows for the end of the year. We are surely not the only ones waiting with baited breath to see if that extends to other countries, but for now this will have to do!
