Live Review: Nocturnal Sunshine ‘Believe’ Ft Chelou (Official Video)

British-Japanese producer Maya Jane Coles has taken on her darker alter-ego, aptly named NOCTURNAL SUNSHINE, to bring us the dubby hit ‘Believe’ feat. CHELOU. ‘Believe’ comes complete with a video clip that shows us something with a lot more nocturnal than sunshine.

Nocturnal Sunshine shows the darker dubstep side of the producer’s talent. It seems as though Coles/Nocturnal Sunshine is slowly discovering more and more about her own talent by exploring this bass heavy side of artistic expression and the clip visualises this exploration.

The video clip for ‘Believe’ has been created by husband/wife artistic duo The Fashtons. Part art installation genius and part internationally acclaimed fashion/music/portrait photographer, between their unique collaborative talent and Maya Jane Coles' commitment to progression you are in for a treat. Starting with an almost eerie child-like figure sitting in a black and white world the clip slowly progresses to an explosion of colours, shapes and silhouettes.

The true meaning of the clip is to show the fight of an innocent girl struggling with the darkness and chaos within. It shows the creative explosion that has clearly leant to the forging of Nocturnal Sunshine from Maya Jane Coles' already stellar music making career.

Nocturnal Sunshine’s debut self-titled album has been released by Coles' own label I/AM/ME and is available now via her website.
