Live Review: Alta 'Moves' (Official Video)

12 June 2015 | 11:47 am | Emma Jones

Melbourne duo Alta take their new single 'Moves' to the outer Melbourne streets for their new clip complete with street aerobics, sportswear and tricycles.

Melbourne duo ALTA burst onto the scene with their single 'Moves' last month - an eclectic mix of smoky vocals, glitchy synths and a variety of samples like elephants (casually). Such an eccentric song is obviously deserving of an eccentric clip, which is just as well considering the new visuals served up by the duo recently.

Sportswear, street aerobics, tricycles and strange floats make most of the clip for 'Moves', and is just as bright and technicoloured as you'd expect it to be. Vocalist Hannah Lesser and producer Julius Dowson work just as well together on screen as in the studio too, with the pair looking like they're having an absolute blast in this clip.

Filmed in the streets of outer Melbourne, Alta have managed to turn streets, footpaths and drains into a colourful and fun setting, with an almost jungle feel with their bamboo cart. Obviously an unusual site in those parts - or any parts really - the clip ties perfectly in with the unusual nature of the track as well.

We can expect big things indeed to come from this duo, having signed to Caroline Australia ahead of their forthcoming EP. If 'Moves' is in anyway indicative of what we can still expect to hear from the pair in the coming months, it will be a very exciting time for all involved I think!
