He’s been quiet for a month or two on the release front, but WABZ is back, bigger and stronger than ever with track 'Alley' from his LP, 'Argyle'.

He’s been quiet for a month or two on the release front, but WABZ is back, bigger and stronger than ever.

He’s got a new release out that we’ve been anticipating for quite some time now. The 13-track offering is in the form of a ridiculously well-crafted LP titled, Argyle. We’ve already heard the first offering, ‘Sweetwater Creek’, but courtesy of Solitaire, it's time to hear the second taste of the LP, ‘Alley’.

Its form is quite unique, leaving nothing to be presumed and everything to be anticipated. It’s unconventional in its style, and I think this is what makes this stand out the most. It’s quite rhythmically dissonant in terms of the structure of the sounds matching with the synths, but I think this what essentially sets this apart.

Wabz has played with form here, and through applying his essentially well-honed production skills, ‘Alley’ has turned out to be this incredible waterfall of sounds that cascade over one another at alternate intervals, yet they all fall into the same pool, making for one blissful soundscape.

‘Alley’ is just an example of what Argyle has to offer. It’s sweet, delicate yet hits hard and is quite punchy in its delivery. Wabz is definitely proving to be one to watch.

Argyle will be out the week commencing June 29 via Solitaire Recordings.
