Live Review: Golden Vessel 'Borrowed Time' Ft. Tiana Khasi
17 year old Golden Vessel teams up with fellow Brisbanite Tiana Khasi for one of the more beautiful tracks we've heard in a while, 'Borrowed Time'.
17 year old Brisbane producer GOLDEN VESSEL has been hard at work over the past few months, but he has yet to create a track so beautiful as this latest release. Teaming up with fellow Brisbanite Tiana Khasi (you might recognise her from The Kite String Tangle's 'Stone Cold') on the vocals, the pair work seamlessly together on 'Borrowed Time'.
Mellow and shimmering, 'Borrowed Time' is bright and alive from the get go. The smoky vocals from Khasi entice you in as the synths swirl, before a crisp, slow beat comes into play. Golden Vessel gradually adds more to the beats, turning it into an erratic and unpredictable line that gives the track that extra bit of depth.
Khasi's voice soars over the arrangements, showing a beautiful range and unsuspecting power in her intimate lyrics. Vulnerable but strong, she carries the track as it ebbs and flows it's way into a pulsing, intense breakdown. This is where Golden Vessel's production chops shine through, showing that he is just as much one to keep an eye on as his female collaborator.

'Borrowed Time' is available for free download on June 24th, with both artists busy at work with live shows and other projects. I don't think I have to tell you, but I'm going to anyway - these two are definitely ones to watch out for. There is no way they will be a secret for much longer!
