Live Review: Eli Escobar 'Up All Night'

11 June 2015 | 11:00 am | Emma Jones

New York City's Eli Escobar released his debut album 'Up All Night' on a limited amount of vinyl last year. Now he's released it online for all to hear!

ELI ESCOBAR, of the famed Night People crew from New York City, released a limited run of vinyl last year for his debut album, Up All Night. Having made a name for himself as one of the city's best party starters, the album sold out pretty quickly, meaning only a select few got to hear what he had created.

Fast forward to this year, and thankfully Escobar has thought about the rest of us who missed out by releasing it digitally some six months later. Remastered and featuring three bonus tracks, the digital release of this album will undoubtedly make for some very lively parties in the near future.

The title track is the sounds of the New York house scene in club form. Over samples of muffled chatter, sirens and rain, the funk laden, almost disco track is a six and a half minute insight into walking into a club from off the street and letting all that you see inside take over.

Slap bass, hard hitting thuds and grooves that would get any party started make up the song, as it ebbs and flows in all of it's house glory. It's like a sneak peek into a hidden world, and is an aural journey full of excitement and good times.

Up All Night is available for purchase here, and is a must have for any party soundtrack. You can keep up to date with all things Eli Escobar on his Facebook or Soundcloud - here's hoping we get to hear even more releases from him in the future!
