Live Review: Medium Punch 'Gone' Ft. Sibling (Spirit Faces Remix)
Spirit Faces has taken on Medium Punch's single 'Gone', featuring Sibling. He's turned it into this gorgeous foray of piano and percussion.
Sydney bedroom producer SPIRIT FACES has come out of the woodwork with some incredible music. His single ‘Cloudplay’ featuring Buoy on vocals was gorgeous in its delivery and original in its output.
He’s back again, but this time with a slightly different approach. He’s taken on Medium Punch’s ‘Gone’ featuring Sibling.
He’s turned this slow burner into an absolute frenzy of a jam. It’s percussion heavy, but keeps the same element of style within the vocals.

There’s an array of sweeping glissando like synths that fall in sync with the end of the vocalists’ phrases within the chorus.
A stunning piano line is sporadically forayed over the melody, and becomes quite a turning point for the songs vibe. It becomes cold and harsh, yet minimal and extremely elegant.
That’s what Spirit Faces does best however, creating classy sounds that feel wholesome and emotive.
It ends on a note that feels much like the original. Quite minimal, dark, brooding and again, followed by this gorgeous piano line that deepens towards the very end of the song.
Spirit Faces is proving to be quite a force; an electronic force with a tinge of classical mastery.
