Live Review: Klue ‘Way I’m Lovin’ You’

Titled ‘Way I’m Lovin’ You’, KLUE's latest single is eclectic in its delivery and even more curious in its construction.

I don’t really know how to describe where this song fits in the spectrum of things.

There’s tinges of funk (later Mark Ronson would be proud), skirtings of hip-hop and immense lather of bass covering this one. KLUE, a producer out of Sydney has recently dropped his latest single.

Titled ‘Way I’m Lovin’ You’, it’s eclectic in its delivery and even more curious in its construction.

Glass like hits slink light underneath the trumpet synth-heavy melody and are all tied together by this well intensified bass line. However, it’s the complex percussion that really sets this off and sets it apart.

‘Way I’m Lovin’ You’ is one of those songs that uses vocals as an instrument rather than a feature. It does well in making a point of highlighting the sound as a whole rather than just one or two features, as is usually so. It’s cool in its construction, and I love the way I found myself subconsciously head-bopping to this number as it played on repeat.

Klue’s got a real knack for building from nothing, and I think ‘Way I’m Lovin’ You’ is the perfect example of balance, composure and extending boundaries.
