Live Review: LANKS 'Brave Man'

Will Cuming is an incredibly talented musician. Juggling vocals, guitar, programming and even the use of the flute, he performs solo under his production moniker LANKS. Since releasing his debut EP, Thousand Piece Puzzle early 2014, LANKS has just revealed his brand new track, 'Brave Man'.

A real ambient atmosphere is created here, thanks to the immediacy of the dark and intrinsic sonic palette. Stinging us with clusters of sparky beats, LANKS counteracts the intensity with the exploited grief of a solemn guitar melody. Exploring depth and committing to the pensive nature of the backdrop, textures thicken and continue to engage with the modest beauty of LANKS' vocal delivery.

Wandering into a lighter field, a luminous guitar line dances over the hefty drones and feedback. With this new, twinkling feature, 'Brave Man' takes us in orbit through the astral plane as the entire song instantaneously evolves into a transcendent masterpiece.
