Live Review: Christopher Owens 'Nothing More Than Everything To Me' (Official Video)

16 July 2014 | 10:41 pm | Adriana Barro

Christopher Owen's further excites us for the release of 'A New Testament' with visuals for his nostalgic Americana track 'Nothing But Everything To Me'.

Former front man of GIRLS, CHRISTOPHER OWENS may have broken many a heart when he announced his split from the San Fransisco group, but soon after restored the faith by announcing his solo album 'Lysandre'.

A year and a half later, he's back to do it all over again with his second solo album 'A New Testament' which will feature the already released, and well received singles "It Comes Back To You" and "Stephen" as well as the recent release "Nothing More Than Everything To Me" which now has some brand spanking new visuals to accompaniment it.

OWENS said of the album that it draws from "fundamentals in American music" such as R&B, gospel and country, and 'Nothing More Than Everything To Me' explores these elements to the fullest both musically and visually. From the very first twang of OWENS guitar, you get the feel for what lies ahead, and as the fairly brief, yet charmingly sweet song plays out, the throwback to classic American music become overwhelmingly apparent.

The clip is equally as smothered in nostalgia as the music it belongs to, depicting the story of a young romance revolving around a middle-school dance at which OWENS and his band are performing, in front of a wall of shiny metallic streamers dressed in fine country n' western garb, naturally.
