Live Review: STREAM: Akouo 'Mesa' EP

AKOUO, the artist behind the jangly, dreamy sounds of 'Last Time' has today released his EP titled Mesa. The highly anticipated 4 track EP was released through Die High Records. The EP runs at a total time of 15 minutes, overflowing with soft, soul influenced electronica that makes you want to groove.

AKOUO has already been compared to the likes of JAMES BLAKE and FRANK OCEAN, which is a high pedestal for the Australian producer to be placed upon, but not one that he is undeserving of. Mesa is smooth and futuristic, with the vocals blending into one of the many layers that present across these 4 dense tracks.

With its eclectic variation on the generalised idea of 'electronica', Mesa melts into one long form piece of music that will have you in a trance for its entirety.
