Live Review: LISTEN: Jacques Greene 'Feel What'

30 April 2014 | 5:36 pm | Lauren Payne

Jacques Greene has released the second track from his Phantom Vibrate EP.

Our old friend JACQUES GREENE has released another new track and it's as soothing as a cup of tea on a rainy day. The producer recently released a new EP entitled Phantom Vibrate and it features incredibly smooth songs that remind us just why we love the Canadian producer so much.

This new offering that the producer has for us is the second track from Phantom Vibrate called 'Feel What'.

'Feel What' has been released only a month after GREENE revealed his new EP to fans through his track 'No Excuse'. 'No Excuse' was a brilliant introduction to the new EP with swirling melodies complimenting the whispy vocals that the entire track sound like something out of a dream. JACQUES GREENE's EP is very soft this time around and when you listen to 'Feel What', you'll know what I mean.

'Feel What' opens with a series of dancing synths that have a very slow beat throbbing underneath it like a heartbeat. Soon hauntingly soft synths are brought into the equation with inaudible vocal samples echoing through the intricate melody. Upbeat percussion pushes the track along and with the percussion melting into he ghostly vocals, sliding synths and throbbing beat, we have a mix perfect for the ears. The mixture sounds very liquidated making it easy to take in slowly, there are a few small electronic samples throughout the track that pop up, however they feel more like the popping candy embedded in this smooth chocolate bar.

JACQUES GREENE's Phantom Vibrate EP is out now through iTunes and you can grab it here. The producer has a lot going for him and this EP shows his talent in the most content way possible.
