Live Review: PREMIERE: Claptone 'Charmer Minimix'

9 October 2015 | 11:04 am | Emma Jones

Just a week out from the release of his latest album, Claptone has released a minimix featuring snippets of the album to make you even more excited.

After a slew of singles dropped throughout the year and an outstanding Disclosure remix, the time we have had to wait for CLAPTONE's new album is nearly over.

The masked maestro has been keeping fans' anticipations at dangerously high levels, and now he's set to increase that even more. Just one week out from Charmer's release date, Claptone has released a minimix featuring snippets from the album, and we have your first listen for you right here.

Spanning 15 minutes, this minimix is overflowing with Claptone goodness, starting off slow and kicking into a groove that only he could pull off so well. Hypnotic, magical and totally captivating, Charmer was already shaping up to be one hell of an album based on his previous singles, but now this all but confirms it.

'Dear Life', 'Puppet Theatre' and 'The Only Thing' have already set the scene for this to be one of, if not the best bodies of work the masked producer has done, with it's dark and brooding yet entrancing dance music. It's pretty safe to say that if you weren't already counting down the days until Charmer is out, this minimix will probably change that.

Charmer is out October 16th via Different Recordings.
