Doprah Announce Debut Australian Show

Christchurch’s answer to the colours of an electronic psychedelia paired with the intrinsic innocence of karaoke, DOPRAH have perfected a sound that only a select few could even contemplate undertaking.

Haunting mixes of unsuspecting sounds collide to forge a connection with the conventions of psychedelic music. Most notably, that tends to be the disconnected nature of all musical structure, the intent to create something quite haunting and mellow in its nature, as well as breaking the boundaries between convention and innovation.

DOPRAH are doing it differently. Dissonant passions and a severe case of creative control makes up a tiny portion of the rest of the inexplicable vibes given off throughout their music.

They’ve been touring their homeland for a while now, and to broaden their spectrum, they’ve announced a single date show in Aus. Sydney, you’re the lucky culprit, and you can catch DOPRAH at the Lansdowne Hotel on Saturday, October 11. It’s a free show so bring your friends, fam, mum, uncle, anyone you can force out of the house. Supporting on the night will be MAGIC HANDS & TWIN CAVERNS.
