Live Review: Our Vivid Live 2014 Playlist

Oh damn it, Sydney! Sometimes I’m really jealous of you. As a Melburnian I know I’m not meant to admit to such things, but you know what, when festivals like Vivid call you home, I can put our city rivalry aside.

Although Vivid showcases the three categories of 'Art', 'Music' and 'Ideas', there's no guessing as to which one we're most excited of over here. (Yes, it is the music part).

From the 23rd of May to the 9th of June, the annual event -  which began back in 2009 - will be playing host to international headliners such as PET SHOP BOYS, PIXIES, JAMES VINCENT MCMORROW, whilst local dudes THE PRESETS will be collaborating with the AUSTRALIAN CHAMBER ORCHESTRA to take attendees on a live sonic and visual journey through 42,000 years  of music.

Now, whether you'll be there in person or sadly not, us at Purple Sneakers thought we'd further feed your musical needs by compiling a playlist with some of the artists featured on this year's Vivid LIVE lineup. So go on, listen to your heart's content.
