Live Review: LISTEN: Yuck 'Another One'

Over the Christmas period, US indie-rockers YUCK were busy recording their latest EP 'Southern Skies'. After putting out the releases' first track 'Athena' a few weeks ago, the band have now dropped a second offering via their YouTube channel.

'Athena' was a bit of a softer track, a sweet ballad that was a nostalgic look back into early nineties indie pop. This time around, 'Another One' is a lot more upbeat but yet again, quite nostalgic.

The drums ring out a nice casual beat with guitars and harmonies taking full control. Some wonderful psychedelic distortion has been added in the background making 'Another One' sound kind of like a memory that's been slightly warped.

'Southern Skies' still has no release date set in stone so we may just be hearing track after track until it all falls together.
