Live Review: LISTEN: Yuck 'Athena'
Our friends Yuck have been busy recording and out of all their hard work they have presented us with 'Athena'.
Back in the holiday season, whilst we were all fattening ourselves up with pavlova, chocolate and, let's admit it, lot's of alcohol, YUCK were actually getting some new songs recorded.
The loss of a frontman and the transformation into a trio definitely had an effect on YUCK, and after basically reinventing themselves throughout 2013, the band are ready to take on this year with their sweet sound of crunchy guitars and soothing vocals a top wonderful synths and just plain bliss.
Whilst currently touring the US, YUCK have had a hell of a lot of fun performing and now the wonderful power of the internet has let us listen to 'Athena' in all it's glory. The single will feature on a new EP that the band are planning on releasing sometime in the not too distant future, however how 'not too distant' is still unknown.

YUCK's new EP is to be called 'Southern Skies' and 'Athena' suggests that it may be a softer EP. Of course we cannot just assume that YUCK has travelled into a prettier area, it may just be a ballad amongst a variety of tracks with different intentions.
