Live Review: Sam Smith Drops New Single 'Money On My Mind'
Sam Smith has unveiled his first official single 'Money On My Mind', taken from his forthcoming debut album!
London's SAM SMITH has truly been keeping himself busy over the year. He's unmasked a series of singles, revealed his Nirvana EP and has collaborated with the likes of Disclosure, Nile Rodgers and Jimmy Napes. To end 2013 with a bang, Smith has announced his debut album, alongside the release of his first official single 'Money On My Mind'.
Taking a completely different turn to what the title suggests, 'Money On My Mind' is a dedication to the loyalty of his fans who help illustrate the success of his endeavours, as well as the passion exuded from the music he crafts.
The discreet instrumentation is made up of piano, percussion and a simple drum beat. Working more as a support network for the lyricism, each instrument is carried out with humility and a certain acceptance that sees you falling into friendships with their soothing faces instantly. What really stands out in this track though is the enormously talented and angelic vocals of Sam Smith. Adorning the track with ingenuity, meekness also lays in the deliverance of his message, as he creates vulnerability in this very honest digest.

'Money On My Mind' is the first single from Sam Smith's forthcoming record, and is to be officially released on 16th February, 2014.
