Live Review: LISTEN: Disclosure x Nile Rodgers x Sam Smith x Jimmy Napes 'Together'

Whilst you were out enjoying the fruits of a glorious weekend, there's a good chance you missed out on hearing on the most important collaborations of 2013. It's a fourway from heaven.

You may remember earlier this year NILE RODGERS pointed out that he managed to snag some studio time with the DISCLOSURE brothers, you know, in between his 1000 different collaborations he's had going this year. But it seems, he definitely wasn't lying - as the outcome of the session is 'Together'.

Reportedly, 'Together' was the result of "a day in Timber St Studios". With the UK duo enlisting the help of their close friend and collaborator, Sam Smith, on vocal duties, as well as another close friend Jimmy Napes (who has helped produce Disclosure's LP, and Smith's EP) to take care of the production side of things. And the result is a sure fire hit from the first listen.

Built around the insane amount of funk streaming out of Rodgers' guitar lines, the track is booming with 80's grooves, and both Disclosure's beats and Smith's vocals changing to fit the mold that the acclaimed musician lays out as foundations. It's  a huge throwback to summer days in the 80's, so it makes us happy to see the accompanying lyrics video seems to have been ripped straight from GTA Vice City.

'Together' is to be released digitally via Method Records very soon.
