On the rise artist, producer, vocalist, and social media star Memphis LK has shared her euphoric new single, 'tricky'. 'tricky' follows closely on from her most recent effort, 'Roses', which solidified Memphis as one of Australia's most exciting emerging pop acts. She's already gained a cult following online, and with music as gorgeous as this, it's now certain we will be seeing Memphis LK everywhere we look in 2021.
'tricky' was written and produced by Memphis LK during lockdown, delivering a burgeoning sonic world of pop perfection from her bedroom to the internet. Inspired by the energy of underground dance floors, the track drips with serotonin. Her vocal glides over wobbling bass lines before exploding into dynamic drum and bass breaks.
On the creation of the track, Memphis shares, “tricky is about dealing with difficult thoughts in your head. I made it on my broken laptop in lockdown earlier this year. I was going through a bad time but it somehow ended up sounding extremely fun.”
