Anonymous Australian alt-hip hop collective ROYBOY today share their latest incendiary single, 'Ramen Bowl'. The single follows their return as a group, 'Busy', a clear demonstration of their experimental and infectious sound. Once again, the group delivers on their extremely unique sonic ethos with another spicy new single. Alongside it, they've launched an exclusive Ramen flavour in collaboration with Eora / Sydney based cult establishment, RaRa Ramen.

'Ramen Bowl' moulds together elasticised synths, rumbling electronic percussion and a bass line that runs rampant, to create an experimental rap track that sticks. Atop of the bed sits ROYBOY's no signature effected vocals, from changes in pitch, tonalities and timbres. The voclas never seem to sit still, creating a frenzied, roller coaster like affair.

Of the single, ROYBOY share "We wanted to make something high energy and weird in its soundscape, and during a lunch break we realised that our cupboards are never free of ramen. Being in the kitchen cooking ramen became the metaphor for cooking up beats in the studio. So after sampling some chopsticks, bowls dropping and drawers closing, we translated the 'spice mix' into a palate-burning heater to soundtrack our passionate love of noodles."

The Ramen released alongside the release is dubbed the RaRa Royboy Royale. The bowl is comprised of house-made chilli noodles, Ra Ra's signature tonkotsu broth, spicy soboro, coal grilled chashu, half egg, grilled corn kernels, nori slice, chilli oil and chilli-spiced powder. Having tried it personally, the ramen is banging, easy to assemble, and so worth it. You can order it takeaway HERE.
