14 September 2021 | 2:22 pm | Parry Tritsiniotis

The best in Australian and international dance vinyl music releases, featuring the likes of DJ Plead, PZ Specialist, Cousin and more.

Each week, we'll break down the best new underground dance releases, represses and new landings in Australian dance stores. This week features new music from Velodrome Recordings very own PZ Specialist, underground stalwarts Cousin and DJ Plead, as well as Naarm legends Mind Dance's new compilation.

PZ Specialist - Rattlehats (Velodrome Recordings)

Co-founder of Eora dance collective Velodrome Recordings, PZ Specialist, has released his debut EP, Rattlehats via his own imprint. The EP is a hotbed of versatile club music, featuring everything from dubby breaky techno to spacey balearic house. While its melodies and textures are supreme, there’s something about the record’s playfulness that will give it life momentum beyond the life cycle of a standard club track lifecycle. Purchase HERE
