Nerve & JK-47 - One In A Million

Following their breakout collaboration ‘Sunday Roast’ Nerve and JK47 have teamed up on their respective best singles to date, releasing ‘One In A Million’. Trading bars with intense bravado over bombastic production sets the perfect platform for the duo to flex their muscles. On the sentiment of the track, Nerve says, “ [One In A Million] is made for anyone that’s wary of stepping outside the box and questioning the systems that they find themselves living in. Everyone can be one in a million at something - you just need to find your thing and put your heart and soul into it.”

Mariam Sawires - Meaning Of Our Love

Egyptian-Australian R&B engima Mariam Sawires has released her first track in 3 years. ‘Meaning Of Our Love’ was first penned in 2018 and was written in a goddamn literal castle in rural France?!? It’s context heavily inspires the track, from the grand bedrooms, libraries and the pure history enveloped in the place. The result is an authentic yet fresh take on universal themes of the intimate and personal through a soulful global lens.

Godlands - My Weakness Ft BRUX

Adelaide based producer Godlands has become the rollout for her anticipated forthcoming EP, TY4R (Thank You 4 Raging), (out on the 4th of June) in the form of new single, ‘My Weakness’. With it she’s teamed up with fellow Aussies BRUX and The Kite String Tangle, who co-wrote the single to create a euphoric, hellraising trap fused banger.

CXLOE - Cry & Drive

CXLOE has delivered a truly beautiful new single in the form of ‘Cry & Drive’. The track is drenched in sentiment and vulnerability. Heart wrenching lyrics and vocal delivery combine perfectly with a minimal indie pop rhythm section leaving the perfect amount of room to be fully enthralled by CXLOE’s ability to wear her heart on her sleeve. On its sentiment via an Instagram post she stated, “I wrote Cry & Drive late last year, a couple days after my grandma passed away. I found myself crying and driving on the way home from the hospital, to the point where it was dangerous. I was on the phone to my partner and he told me to pull over and not cry and drive.”

Boys Noize - ‘All I Want’

Following the runaway success of his label debut ‘Mvinline’, Boys Noize returns to Defected for the anticipated follow-up single ‘All I Want’, featuring the unmistakable vocals of Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears. Taking inspiration from classic Chicago house this dancefloor-ready cut is exquisitely executed, as Boys Noize’s signature futuristic flare and Jake’s distinctive glowy vocal make a sublime pairing.

Remi - The Times ft. Tyler Daley

Today sees the release of the third, and final, full-length album from REMI. The duo, (Remi Kolawole and Sensible J) have gone out with a bang, with one of their strongest bodies of work to date. It’s highlight, ‘The Times’ both highlights their constant evolution as artists as well as their signature flair. Jazzy chords, looped percussion and that crispy smooth delivery all mould together to create a strong track around the sentiment of self affirmation. Bravo Remi, thankyou for blessing our ears.

India Jordan - Watch Out!

London-based, Doncaster-born India Jordan has returned with a new EP ‘Watch Out!’ following their widely acclaimed 2020 EP ‘For You’. With both releases padded by the ongoing pandemic, India Jordan’s music acts as a beacon of hope for the currently silenced international dance community. Despite this, Jordan’s put out an ecstatic dance floor release, with bangers front to back, bringing the rave to bedrooms and house party’s globally.

Little Simz - Woman ft. Cleo Sol

Little Simz is gearing up to add her name to the list of artists with classic hip-hop albums with another single from her forthcoming album, 'Sometimes I Might Be Introvert', adding even more hype to the highly anticipated project. Hot on the heels of the scorching, 6-minute call to arms that was 'Introvert', 'Woman' featuring Cleo Sol acts as the perfect follow up, an intimate ode to female empowerment
