Celebrated for her evocative songwriting & delivery Jorja Smith channels this in a repacked form, delivering another near perfect project.

Today Jorja Smith returns to release her brand new highly-anticipated 8-track project, 'Be Right Back'. It's the first body of work from Jorja since her 2019, universally applauded 'Lost & Found'. She returns as iconic as ever, giving the fans a brief insight into her sonic world over the past 2 years. Widely celebrated for her evocative songwriting, powerful delivery and raw emotion, Smith channels this ethos in a repackaged form, delivering another near perfect project.

The record delivers some of her most emotive and imaginative songs of her career yet. String heavy production, features perfectly under her incredible vocal delivery, creating a cohesive collection of songs that also present as extremely diverse. It features her recent singles, 'Gone' and 'Addicted' alongside 6 additional unheard tracks. The project's standout is 'Bussdown' featuring rising South London rapper, Shaybo. It's minimal beat provides the perfect platform for the two vocalists to get to work. Shaybo's direct and infectious vocal delivery perfectly complements Jorja's stunning melodies, creating a sexy and effortless groover suitable for any context.

On the creation and titling of the project, Smith states, “It’s called 'Be Right Back' because it’s just something I want my fans to have right now, this isn’t an album and these songs wouldn’t have made it. If I needed to make these songs, then someone needed to hear them too." With this sentiment, Jorja Smith is looking fiercer than ever. What she provides is an incredible body of work with a range of emotive twists and tails and clear sonic development combining to cement her as the iconic empress of neo soul.
